I've seen Hoarders, which sometimes includes stories about people who are animal hoarders. It's always so sad--you can tell the people care about their animals, but just get overwhelmed.
We've never had more than four, and I think two is probably the most manageable number for us. When we've been dealing with Pixel's recent health problems (and other cats in the past), we've seen how hard it can be to give enough attention to everyone while taking extra care of the sick one.
I had my favorite kitty die last May. She was 14 years old. I still really miss her. She snuggled with me through both my parents deaths and a divorce. She was always the constant thing in my life when life was in turmoil. Even though it has been over a couple months, I still think that I see her out of the corner of my eye now and then. Cats are precious. Thanks for the great website.
I wish I was at home at the time to assess the situation! The cameras sure did get dark for a period of time. I imagine the kitties weren't terribly thrilled with hail hitting the windows either.
Hee hee, he's wondering why you are videotaping him and not helping him get down! How did he ever get up there?
LOL!! He looks like me looking for my car at Wal-Mart yesterday. Too funny!
That is just adorable.
AW!! I just got 5 cavities! Good for you Neo!♥
ROFL!! What an adorable puss-cat, too!
He looks soooooo comfy!
Cleo's Mom just added this image to the best of gallery, and I wanted to link it here as well since it's quite appropriate to this topic.

I'm sorry for your loss. We just had to have one of ours put to sleep, and it really is hard. We keep expecting to see him in his favorite spots.
